Local author Dillon M. Wallace stops by November 14th to sign and discuss his latest book The Hunt Initiative.

Ex-con Clayton Sparks has all the makings of a fresh start.

New friends. New love interest. Even a new job, thanks to a few pulled strings by the former.

Ironically enough, the gig is security detail at headquarters for The Hunt Initiative, a revolutionary legislation that champions the hunting of convicted killers by the family and friends of their victims—even total strangers—all in the pursuit of justice. Created and led by Simon Klein, arguably the most powerful figure in America, the Initiative has nearly eradicated all forms of homicide over its twenty-five-year existence through its violent but effective eye-for-an-eye diplomacy.

But when Clayton, an innocent man with a guilty past, finds his new life ripped apart for a murder he didn't commit, he must fight to prove his innocence before he becomes the Hunt's next prey. That means digging into a history he swore he'd left behind to give himself the only real shot at a future.

Where will he run when there's nowhere to go?

Who can he trust if everyone wants him dead?

And what decades-old secrets will he uncover on his gripping escape for freedom? After all . . .

NO ONE HAS EVER

SURVIVED THE HUNT.
